Garnet has always known the town of Tanzanite as her only home. She lives with her foster sister, Peridot, and her foster parents, Amber and Topaz. Still, she knows that her parents found her in a dandelion field, all alone and without identification. But then a set of twins originally from the dirty, polluted capital, Sapphire City arrive at Tanzanite after being evacuated along with the other citizens. Supposedly, Queen Diamond was concerned about their health when breathing in the contaminated air. Garnet isn't convinced. The twins tell her that the queen is expanding her palace, and that she's looking for something from 11 years earlier...Soon, Garnet is pulled into a mystery that in the end, will solve questions about her past.
